Demarco Mosby

I am a figurative painter and storyteller. Using the vehicle of narrative, I investigate and attempt to form moral content through painting. I utilize texture, composition and symbolism in combination with history, myth and fantasy to develop a narrative of our world. I tell stories of devastated, isolated and broken figures that have ceased their struggle--accepted their nature as fragments, they lie still, dissolving into the earth with so many others, piling into mounds. I hope to add these stories to our culture, showing the depth of the human will and that we, in our continuing uphill struggle, can always become something better than what we are.
