Painters on Painting: Amy Sherald

  • 24 November 2022

On the occasion of the exhibition ‘Amy Sherald. The World We Make,’ Hauser & Wirth London hosted a conversation between contemporary painters and their students.

Debbie Hillyerd, Senior Director, Learning at Hauser & Wirth, welcomed Shannon Bono, Andrew Hart, Jerome Ince-Mitchell and Raksha Patel from University of the Arts London and their students to an informal discussion on painting, in response to some of the themes and issues raised by the work of Amy Sherald.

‘Painters on Painting’ are exploratory learning events where artists and students engage in a conversation around painting exhibitions at Hauser & Wirth London. The events aim to bring young voices into the conversation on contemporary painting and artistic processes.
