Summer Fete
At Hauser & Wirth Somerset

  • Sat 13 July 2024
  • 11 am – 5 pm

Join us in marking our 10th anniversary at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, spanning a decade of art, food, nature, sustainability, local partnerships and learning programs.

The site-wide festivities will include ‘over the fire’ dishes and signature cocktails from Roth Bar, alongside the Farm Shop and local suppliers selling Somerset produce, such as Brickells Ice Cream, Dowding’s, Hidden Pizza, Somerset Cider Brandy Company and Westcombe Dairy.

Stalls from businesses on Bruton High Street will feature Ape or Eden, AT EIGHTEEN TWENTY, Fruitbat Textiles, New Romantic, People Will Always Need Plates, Rag of Colts, Rose & Lyons, Smouk Interiors, Spirals, Swan Vintage, WellnessWorksWest and more. We aim to include more local businesses through our collaboration with the Bruton Chamber of Commerce. Please reach out to them directly to inquire.

Live music by the Brass Junkies will be playing in the farmyard throughout the day.

We will be welcoming back many of our local charity partners over the last decade, Black Swan Arts, Bruton Community Library, BruBowl, BrueCREW, Bruton Museum, Bruton Primary PSA, Carymoor Environmental Trust, Somerset Wildlife Trust and STAR (Somerset Trust for Arts and Recreation), as well as introducing our new partner for 2024 – 2025.

Explore our exhibition, ‘Phyllida Barlow. unscripted,’ from 12 – 5 pm, and then take part in a sculpture and biodiversity workshop in our Education Lab, ‘Open Art School,’ from 2 – 4 pm. The garden will be open from 10 am.

Tickets are free, however we encourage donations to our 2024 – 2025 charity partner. We ask that you register in advance to help us understand visitor numbers, and so we can keep you informed of relevant updates.

After the event, the Roth Bar will stay open until 11 pm serving food and drink, with a DJ set from Ross Wilson at 7 pm.

Help Us Make This An Environmentally Sustainable Event
In order to keep waste to a minimum, we are asking visitors to bring their own cup, tankard, flute or flask for this event. Reusable cups can be purchased from the Farm Shop with proceeds going towards our new charity partner. Anyone that walks, cycles or uses public transport to the event will get a free ice-cream on arrival. There will be limited parking on site.

Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for use on the Hauser & Wirth website, social media and in other marketing materials.
