Book Presentation: ‘Una vida para el arte’ by Susana Chillida

  • Sat 5 October 2024
  • 12.15 – 1.15pm

On 5 October, Hauser & Wirth Menorca will host a presentation of Susana Chillida’ memoir, ‘Una vida para el arte’ (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2024). The book will be introduced by Susana Chillida—writer, filmmaker, psychologist, pedagogue, and daughter of the artist—alongside writer Eduardo Iglesias and journalist Mercedes Milà.

‘Una vida para el arte’ is a family memoir in which the author pays tribute to her parents by tracing Eduardo Chillida’s professional career and highlighting the pivotal role of Pilar Belzunce. The narrative is enriched with personal and family anecdotes, while Susana also shares her reflections on her own journey as both an artist and the daughter of an artist.

English translation of the book, ‘Eduardo Chillida and Pilar Belzunce: Memoirs of a Daughter,’ will be released by Hauser & Wirth Publishers this autumn, with copies of both the Spanish—and English—language editions available for purchase at the gallery shop following this event.

You can book your spot and your shuttle boat ticket here.
