Opening Reception: Louise Bourgeois and Fabian Peake

  • Sat 1 October 2022
  • 6 – 8pm

Join us to celebrate the opening of two solo exhibitions devoted to the work of Louise Bourgeois and Fabian Peake at Hauser & Wirth Somerset.

Louise Bourgeois is one of the most important and influential artists of the twentieth century. Curated by Benjamin Shiff, ‘Louise Bourgeois. Drawing Intimacy 1939 – 2010’ shares with the viewer an extraordinary grouping of works from the artist’s private collection, many of which are being exhibited for the first time.

Fabian Peake emerged as a painter on the London art scene in the late 1960s. In the decades since, he has expanded his practice, incorporating tailored textile wall pieces, cut-out reliefs, sculpture, drawing, photography, writing and poetry. ‘Fabian Peake. an eye either side’ is a landmark exhibition to mark the artist’s 80th birthday, celebrating Peake’s broad and multifaceted career, as both artist and writer.

This event is free and includes entry to both exhibitions, but please register your interest in advance to avoid disappointment.

Roth Bar & Grill will be open for drinks on the terrace and dinner reservations.
