Teachers’ Private View: Ida Applebroog. Right Up Until Now 1969 – 2021

  • Tue 1 February 2022
  • 5 – 6pm

Join us for a private view of ‘Ida Applebroog. Right Up Until Now 1969 – 2021’ just for teachers and lecturers. You will have the opportunity to collect the latest resources and learn more about educational visits to Hauser & Wirth Somerset.

Educator, Matilda Fleming, will lead the tour and will be available to discuss any visit requirements.

Feminist pioneer Ida Applebroog has consistently explored the interconnected themes of power, gender, politics, and sexuality throughout her career. The forthcoming exhibition consists of highlights travelling from the artist’s largest survey to date at Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, alongside important new works created over the past year. Now in her 90s, the comprehensive survey speaks to Applebroog’s radical introspection as a woman and an artist, presenting life as it is and the repetitive patterns of our existence.
