James Meyer, esteemed curator of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, will read from ‘The Art of Return: The Sixties and Contemporary Culture,’ his latest publication released by The University of Chicago Press. Meyer’s innovative perspective uses art criticism, fiction, and theory to examine a diverse array of cultural objects that investigate the contemporary fascination with the Sixties, global expressions of cultural memories, and reimagine the 1950s – 1970s. Join us for a book signing after the reading. This event is a collaboration between Hauser & Wirth, ARTBOOK, and The University of Chicago Press.
