Run away with the Circus! Saturday 14 July 2018, 11 am – 10.30 pm Sunday 15 July 2018, 11 am – 4 pm This celebratory festival weekend unites the gallery, restaurant, and farm with a host of circus inspired performances, family-orientated activities, vintage fairground rides, arts & crafts workshops, face painting and local food & drink stalls. A diverse line-up of local bands will play throughout Saturday including The Dukes, The Drystones, and the High Town Crows, plus more. The final performance by the extraordinary Cut Capers is guaranteed to get the audience moving and the day will culminate in a firework display at 10 pm. Celebrations and activities continue all day on Sunday, with music by local performers starting at 11 am in the marquee with the Wincanton Youth Theatre, followed by The Lockerbillies, Josephine & the Artizans, and more. Roth Bar & Grill will serve a wood fired feast from the Outdoor Kitchen on both days, all sourced from Durslade Farm, our Kitchen Garden, and surrounding orchards. Local suppliers will also be serving up tasty treats for visitors to enjoy. ‘Alexander Calder: From the Stony River to the Sky’ will be open as usual throughout both days from 10 am – 5 pm. This major solo exhibition presents works by Alexander Calder, the majority of which have never before been exhibited in the UK. The show runs through all five gallery spaces at Hauser & Wirth Somerset with over 80 pieces, including large-scale outdoor works set within the gardens at Durslade Farm. £3 entry / Free for under 12's.
