Hauser & Wirth is one of the world’s leading commercial galleries for Modern and Contemporary art with locations across the UK, USA, Europe and Asia. Based in London, we are looking for an IT Technical Systems Engineer.

The primary role of the IT Technical Systems Engineer is to ensure a smooth and non-disruptive, end user support with specific focus on our user base in the UK, including assisting with our European, US and Asia regions as and when required.

This role requires good customer and client facing skills, with primary efforts on ensuring communication, managing IT software and hardware changes, printers (local and MFP), documentation and server system administration are seamlessly supported and deployed, whether locally or remotely, via phone, and/or email, or other remote configuration tools.

This role is key towards promoting and representing IT practices and requires an in-depth knowledge of Apple MAC, OSX Servers and its supporting applications. Equally essential is a solid understanding and technical awareness of user collaboration tools for conference support, desktop, laptops, mobile telephony, asset management tools, file sharing protocols, user permissioning and folder administration.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Engage with users at all levels on a daily basis, addressing IT-related queries and meeting their expectations.

  • Manage the ticketing system (Jira) for the UK, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proper tracking of support requests.

  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of our backup infrastructure, including daily backups for applications, Macintosh laptops, Macintosh servers, Windows Servers within Azure, and designated backup hardware.

  • Responsible for the onboarding and offboarding process for employees.

  • Maintenance and upkeep of Cisco Meraki systems.

  • Work closely with IT colleagues to manage global application deployments, or updates to desktop or user applications, either via automation or manually.

  • Act as the first point of contact for user-related issues and/or risks, escalating problems as appropriate to ensure prompt resolution.

  • Check stock levels of critical components weekly, updating stock-related documents and placing orders as necessary.

  • Provide timely report to IT management and key stakeholders on progress of dedicated tasks, or on-going activities, by updating weekly focus report.

Skills/Competencies Required:

Experience:

  • 2 years of proven experience in IT support or a similar role.

  • Prior experience in supporting 100+ employees.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced/Expert Mac OS troubleshooting.

  • Macintosh OS upgrades, configuration profile deployment, package deployment.

  • Microsoft Office 365 support (Office Apps, Exchange Online, Teams/SharePoint).

  • Mobile Device support (iPhones, iPads, MacBooks).

  • Active Directory exposure.

  • Experience and management in using JAMF PRO Mobile Device Management.

  • Adobe application support (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

  • Exposure to NAS Technologies (QNAP)

  • Exposure to backup applications/software.

  • Basic networking understanding—DNS, DHCP, IP management.

  • An understanding of the ITIL Framework.

Soft Skills:

  • Good documentation and analytical skills, with a passion for user satisfaction.

  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and enhance relationships with clients and peers.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to different sites in the UK. Occasional travel to other sites in Europe, in the US and in Asia may be required.

  • Full driving license (an advantage).

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
