To celebrate our new exhibitions at Hauser & Wirth in New York, we will hold two days of public events on 10 & 17 September to connect with the local community, highlight the release of exciting new publications from our artists, expand the discourse around each new body of work and activate the spaces at 542 West 22nd Street through performance and a return to in person programming.
In Conversation: Zoe Leonard and curator Nadiah Rivera Fellah on ‘Al río / To the River’

On the occasion of ‘Zoe Leonard. Excerpts from Al río / To the River’ please join us for a conversation between the artist and Cleveland Museum of Art associate curator, Nadiah Rivera Fellah, with an introduction by poet and book editor Tim Johnson.
Leonard’s exhibition features a selection of works from her expansive photographic project ‘Al río / To the River’ (2016–2022) which traces the 1,200-mile stretch of the Rio Grande that is used to demarcate the border between the two countries.
Signed copies of ‘Al río / To the River’ from Hatje Cantz will be available for purchase during the event.

Spanning the entire first floor of Jenny Holzer’s long anticipated exhibition ‘DEMENTED WORDS ’, AMOC (American Modern Opera Company) will present a musical performance with a powerhouse lineup of performers: countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo; violinist Keir GoGwilt; cellist Coleman Itzkoff; bass-baritone Davóne Tines; and guest percussionist Sae Hashimoto.
