The workshop will be led by Basque artist Nora Aurrekoetxea, who participated in the exhibition ‘Larruak eta izurrak (Pieles y Pliegues)’, the first in a series organized by Tabakalera for Eduardo Chillida’s centenary.
Focusing on themes central to Chillida’s work—matter, space and the interplay of positive and negative forms—the workshop invites participants to engage in sculpture, performance and automatic writing exercises using pieces of furniture. These activities encourage exploration of the body’s relationship with space and materials, guided by the following prompts: explore, adapt, rebel.
Developed in collaboration with Tabakalera San Sebastián as part of the centenary celebrations, the workshop is free to attend, will last three hours and requires no prior experience.
You can book your spot and your shuttle boat ticket here.
