In this month's workshop, learn the art of caring for succulents and methods to create a thriving indoor succulent collection. Garden School Foundation educators will cover the basics of soil mixes, pest control, propagation and ideal seasons to pot in. Participants will take home their own potted succulents. This workshop is an all-age event and appropriate for houseplant enthusiasts who are looking to start growing succulents.
The Garden School Foundation provides garden-based education to children at eight Title 1 elementary schools across Los Angeles. They take a holistic approach to teaching, gardening, cooking and environmental sustainability through in-depth programs, Seed to Table and Cafeteria to Compost along with regular Community Garden Days and school- based free Farmers Markets.
