In this month’s workshop, get hands-on with educators from the Garden School Foundation and learn about a pumpkin’s life cycle. This October, carve and decorate a pumpkin to kickstart the autumn season. Create a mini scarecrow and take home your own seed packets to plant pumpkins for next year.
The Garden School Foundation provides garden-based education to children at eight Title 1 elementary schools across Los Angeles. They take a holistic approach to teaching, gardening, cooking and environmental sustainability through an in-depth Seed to Table and Cafeteria to Compost programs along with regular Community Garden Days and school- based free Farmers Markets.
This event is free, however, reservations are recommended. Click here to register.
Pumpkins are limited and while supplies last, RSVP and early arrival is recommended.
