Join us for a tour of ‘Eduardo Chillida’ and ‘Thomas J Price. Thoughts Unseen’ led by our University of West of England MA Curatorial placement, Aloys Feeney.
One of the foremost Spanish sculptors of the twentieth century, Eduardo Chillida (1924 – 2002) is widely celebrated for his monumental public sculptures and enduring fascination with interconnected shape, space and organic form. Chillida challenged the constraints of materials such as iron and steel to redefine the language of postwar sculpture, drawing on a deep connection to his native Basque region.

Thomas J Price’s multidisciplinary practice confronts preconceived public attitudes towards representation and identity. Price challenges power structures that govern our society whilst examining learnt behaviour that guides our unconscious. His inaugural exhibition with Hauser & Wirth in Somerset, presents two decades of conceptual enquiry spanning film, early sculpture, and the artist’s largest figurative bronze to date.
