Opening reception: ‘Dieter Roth and Franz West’

Hauser & Wirth is pleased to invite you to the opening reception of two modern masters of the late 20th century, Dieter Roth and Franz West. United by their incredible craftsmanship and pioneering approach to materials, Roth and West were similarly critical of sculpture as a traditionally beautiful medium. Embracing the imperfections of the artwork, these artists often blurred the lines between process and product in unconventional ways. The exhibition will present a focused selection of works which will investigate the legacy these artists left in the realm of contemporary sculpture.
