Visit our Downtown Los Angeles Arts District gallery on Saturday, July 31 to take part in the festivities of the inaugural Gallery Weekend Los Angeles, a weekend designed to encourage visitors back to physical gallery spaces throughout the city. On Saturday, meet us in the courtyard where a special Hauser & Wirth Publishers pop-up will offer an exclusive pre-release available only in LA of the new Phyllida Barlow monograph – ‘Phyllida Barlow: Collected Lectures, Writings, and Interviews.’ While you browse the new book, marvel at Barlow’s monumental sculpture within the courtyard. Manuela, the gallery’s onsite restaurant, will feature outdoor cash bars of specialty food and drink, and a DJ will spin tunes throughout the day.
Be sure to stop by the gallery spaces to view ‘In Focus: LA Artists’ – a multimedia group presentation dedicated to Hauser & With’s LA-based artists including Mark Bradford, Luchita Hurtado, Henry Taylor, Diana Thater, and many more, and an exhibition that features Brazilian artist Lygia Pape’s rarely seen work from the Tupinambá series and an emblematic Ttéia.
Learn more about Gallery Weekend Los Angeles and the participating Los Angeles galleries by visiting Gallery Association Los Angeles’ website here.
Free to attend, no booking necessary.
