CinemArt Screening: ‘Max Bill. Das absolute Augenmass’

This documentary on Max Bill moves between the dynamic fields of art, aesthetics and politics. Max Bill was one of the most important Swiss artists of the 20th century, as well as one of the most renowned students to come out of the legendary Bauhaus school in Dessau. He was an ardent anti-fascist and his work as an avant-garde artist, sculptor, architect and typographer demonstrated a social responsibility and awareness throughout his career. CinemArt is a film series presented by Hauser & Wirth in collaboration with Arthouse Zürich. A cinematic journey into the art world, this series offers unique views into the lives and work of significant international artists, including a selection connected to Hauser & Wirth’s programme. The selected documentaries feature artists and renowned art world figures including Eduardo Chillida, Peggy Guggenheim, Piet Oudolf, Fabio Mauri, Picasso, Joseph Beuys, Max Bill and Maria Lassnig.
